What are the model numbers for the iPhone 13 mini?

The iPhone 13 mini was released in 2021 and carries model number A2481, with the internal identifier iPhone14,4. The model number is printed in tiny text on the rear of the phone on older models, and on newer models it is shown under Settings, General, About, next to Model Number after tapping the part number to reveal it. Quoting that number when ordering parts is the only reliable way to avoid a part that looks correct but will not fit.

Does replacing the screen or battery on a iPhone 13 mini trigger a warning in iOS?

Yes if the part is not genuine or has not been paired. From the iPhone 12 onward Apple pairs the display, the battery and the rear camera to the individual phone, so an unpaired part makes iOS show an Unknown Part message under Settings, General, About, disables True Tone on a display and hides the maximum capacity figure on a battery. Fitting genuine Apple parts and completing the pairing step clears the message and keeps every feature working normally.

Can the back glass be replaced on a iPhone 13 mini?

On the iPhone 13 mini the rear glass is bonded to the chassis, so a cracked back is repaired by transferring every internal component into a new housing rather than by swapping the glass alone.

What happens to Face ID and the charging port on a iPhone 13 mini repair?

Face ID lives in the TrueDepth module at the top of the display assembly and is paired to the Secure Enclave, so it has to be transferred from the original screen to the replacement rather than swapped with the panel. Damage to that flex during a careless repair is the usual reason Face ID stops working afterwards, and it cannot be restored by fitting another module. The iPhone 13 mini charges over Lightning, and the port is part of a replaceable charging flex assembly, so a worn port can be serviced without touching the logic board.
