Turn the unit over and read the model number beginning with A on the round base plate, where the EMC number is also printed. The 2010 to 2012 unibody Mac mini had user-accessible RAM and drive bays, the 2014 model soldered the RAM, the 2018 Intel model allowed RAM upgrades again, and the Apple Silicon M1, M2 and M4 models have soldered RAM and storage.
