About this part
The Right Speaker Connector Cowling (Apple part number 923-08963) is a genuine Apple part that fits the MacBook Air 15-inch M2 2023. A cowling is a thin protective cover that sits over a connector on the logic board, holding the connector firmly in place and shielding it.
Before you order, match the model identifier on your Mac (Apple menu, About This Mac, System Report) to the identifier listed for this part: Mac14,15.
Signs the cowling needs replacing
- A cowling that went missing after a previous repair
- A bent or cracked cowling that no longer sits flat
- A connector underneath that keeps working loose
- A component that cuts out after the bottom case was opened
Not sure the cowling is the real cause? We diagnose the Mac before replacing anything, and we can install this genuine Apple part for you through our MacBook Air repair service, in our Tampa shop or by mail-in repair from anywhere in the US.
