About this part
The EDP Flex Cable Cowling (Lower) (Apple part number 923-05235) is a genuine Apple part that fits the MacBook Pro (13-inch, M1, 2020) and MacBook Pro 13-inch M2 2022. Internal cables and flex cables carry power and data between the logic board and components such as the display, trackpad, and ports.
Before you order, match the model identifier on your Mac (Apple menu, About This Mac, System Report) to one of the identifiers listed for this part: MacBookPro17,1 and Mac14,7.
Signs the internal cable needs replacing
- A component that works only intermittently
- Display, trackpad, or port that stops working after a repair or drop
- A torn, pinched, or burnt flex cable
- Problems that come and go when the case is pressed or flexed
Not sure the internal cable is the real cause? We diagnose the Mac before replacing anything, and we can install this genuine Apple part for you through our MacBook Pro repair service, in our Tampa shop or by mail-in repair from anywhere in the US.
