About this part
The Bottom Case (Apple part number 923-0229) is a genuine Apple part that fits the MacBook Pro 13-inch Late 2012 Retina. Chassis and housing parts hold the internal components in place, protect them, and keep the enclosure aligned.
Before you order, match the model identifier on your Mac (Apple menu, About This Mac, System Report) to the identifier listed for this part: MacBookPro10,2.
Signs the chassis part needs replacing
- A cracked, dented, or bent enclosure panel
- Loose internal parts or rattling after a drop
- Broken brackets, clips, or mounting points
- Covers or panels that no longer close flush
Not sure the chassis part is the real cause? We diagnose the Mac before replacing anything, and we can install this genuine Apple part for you through our MacBook Pro repair service, in our Tampa shop or by mail-in repair from anywhere in the US.
