About this part
The Cowling, Touch Bar Display (Apple part number 923-02507) is a genuine Apple part that fits the MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2018) and MacBook Pro 15-inch 2019. The display assembly handles everything you see, including the panel, backlight, and the cable that feeds the image from the logic board.
Before you order, match the model identifier on your Mac (Apple menu, About This Mac, System Report) to one of the identifiers listed for this part: MacBookPro15,1 and MacBookPro15,1/15,3.
Signs the display needs replacing
- Cracked glass, black spots, or ink-like bleed on the panel
- Vertical or horizontal lines, flicker, or a picture that changes as the lid moves
- No backlight, where the image is only visible with a flashlight
- Stage light effect or uneven brightness along the bottom edge
