The Cowling, Audio Board (Apple part number 923-10949) is a genuine Apple part that fits the Mac mini M4 2024 and Mac mini M4 Pro 2024. This cowling is the small metal cover that clamps the Audio Board connector to the logic board. That connector links the audio board, headphone jack and Touch ID sensor to the logic board. If it is missing or bent, the connector can lift slightly and the audio and Touch ID can become unreliable.
Before you order, match the model identifier on your Mac (Apple menu, About This Mac, System Report) to one of the identifiers listed for this part: Mac16,10 and Mac16,11.
