About this part
The Screw, MagSafe 3 Wedge, 5 PK (Apple part number 923-14460) is a genuine Apple part that fits the MacBook Air 13-inch M5 2026 and MacBook Air 15-inch M5 2026. Apple uses specific screw lengths and threads in each location, and a wrong or missing screw can crack a board, dent a case, or leave a part loose.
Before you order, match the model identifier on your Mac (Apple menu, About This Mac, System Report) to one of the identifiers listed for this part: Mac17,3 and Mac17,4.
Signs the screw or fastener needs replacing
- A missing screw after a previous repair or upgrade
- Stripped heads or threads that no longer hold
- Rattling inside the case, or a component that shifts
- A board or bracket that is not fully seated
Not sure the screw or fastener is the real cause? We diagnose the Mac before replacing anything, and we can install this genuine Apple part for you through our MacBook Air repair service, in our Tampa shop or by mail-in repair from anywhere in the US.
