About this part
The Cowling, Display / LVDS / eDP (Lower) (Apple part number 923-02519) is a genuine Apple part that fits the MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2018, 4 TBT3) and MacBook Pro 13-inch 2019 2TBT3. This cowling is the small metal cover that secures the Display / LVDS / eDP (Lower) connection. That connector carries the picture signal and backlight power from the logic board to the screen. Match the cowling and its mounting hardware to the listed device model.
Before you order, match the model identifier on your Mac (Apple menu, About This Mac, System Report) to one of the identifiers listed for this part: MacBookPro15,2 and MacBookPro15,4.
Signs the cowling needs replacing
- A black screen while the Mac still chimes or the keyboard lights up
- Flicker, lines, or a picture that drops out when the lid moves
- The display cut out after the bottom case or logic board was removed
- An external monitor works but the built-in screen does not
Not sure the cowling is the real cause? We diagnose the Mac before replacing anything, and we can install this genuine Apple part for you through our MacBook Pro repair service, in our Tampa shop or by mail-in repair from anywhere in the US.
