About this part
The Cover, CPU Thermal Module (Apple part number 923-03324) is a genuine Apple part that fits the Mac Pro (2019) and Mac Pro Rack 2019. Fans and heatsinks move heat away from the processor and graphics chip, so they directly affect speed and stability.
Before you order, match the model identifier on your Mac (Apple menu, About This Mac, System Report) to the identifier listed for this part: MacPro7,1.
Signs the cooling part needs replacing
- Fans that are loud, rattle, or run at full speed all the time
- Overheating and throttling under light work
- Unexpected shutdowns when the Mac gets hot
- A fan that never spins at all
Not sure the cooling part is the real cause? We diagnose the Mac before replacing anything, and we can install this genuine Apple part for you through our Mac Pro repair service, in our Tampa shop or by mail-in repair from anywhere in the US.
