About this part
The Screw, Lower Cowling, eDP Flex Cable, Torx T3 (Apple part number 923-01284) is a genuine Apple part that fits the MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2016, 2 TBT3), MacBook Pro 13-inch 2016 4TBT3, MacBook Pro 13-inch 2017 2TBT3 and 2 other models. Apple uses specific screw lengths and threads in each location, and a wrong or missing screw can crack a board, dent a case, or leave a part loose.
Before you order, match the model identifier on your Mac (Apple menu, About This Mac, System Report) to one of the identifiers listed for this part: MacBookPro13,1, MacBookPro13,2, MacBookPro14,1, MacBookPro14,2 and MacBookPro15,2.
Signs the screw or fastener needs replacing
- A missing screw after a previous repair or upgrade
- Stripped heads or threads that no longer hold
- Rattling inside the case, or a component that shifts
- A board or bracket that is not fully seated
